Using my images I thought I'd see what it could be like to have some other visual than the business card on the home page, dunno how big the images should be, they could easily be smaller. Also I think I butchered the pattern because I just used Marta's print screens, but I can't tell because of my high contrast so ignore that bit.
I think the size out of these layouts that works best is the bottom 2. They keep the navigation separate so you can still use it easily but use the space in the middle really well to show the work.
